USB ports apparently not usable due to headers on motherboard see screenshot for more info

So I'm building a PC for a friend and as far as I'm aware I'm just double checking to see if you can still connect the USB headers on the motherboard with the USB on the case (see screenshot for more insight). As far as I'm aware different versions of the USB will just make the USB speed run at the slower treshold, meaning the USB port should still be functional if I'm correct, any thought on this/experience?

To connect a USB C header to a USB 3.0 connection you will need an adapter.

Edit: I read that backwards. You will not be able to use the usb c connection on the case unless they make a usb 3.0 to usb c header adapter.

You can get an adapter to convert a USB 3 Gen 1 connection on motherboard into a USB C connection. However it will only run at gen 1 speeds not Gen 2 like USB C does. Example linked
below

Alternatively to get gen 2 speeds You'd need a PCIE adapter card. Only one I found when looking was this one. Be warned that the connection has the cable at 90 degree angle so if the card will be above a PSU, PSU shroud or any other obstruction it could be a tight fit.

Just get a motherboard that has USB 3.1/3.2 Type-C on the rear.

But yea don't get sata ssds, make use of 2x M2 slots. If run out then use sata if needed. Buts usually 2x M2 ssd + maybe a large sata hdd would be enough.
