NVME SSD recommendations on a budget

I'm looking to buy an nvme ssd, I was thinking of getting this one;

I dont know much about them, would this be sufficient? I dont want to spend over £100 and im on a PCIE 3.0 mobo at the moment. Is there anything I should look for when buying an ssd or is this totally fine?

The Sabrent Rocket Q is their updated PCI-e 3.0 drive with QLC NAND.
This is a "budget" SSD and IMO, not worth it compared to other drives around the same price.

The original Sabrent Rocket 3.0 is a very solid drive and uses TLC NAND.

I also suggest most people to look into the Adata SX8200pro 1TB as they are usually around the same price, here in the US.

Both offer very good performance/price for a pci-e 3.0 NVME.

If Im gonna buy one for 120 I was lookin I might as well get the samsung evo in that case for near enough the same price and it seems to be the best one

For the Samsung 980 Pro, there is a widely reported issue with rapidly degrading write speeds, esp. for those w/PCI-e 4.0. I have one running in PCI-e 3.0 and have a mild decrease in write speeds developing about 5 days after it was initially installed.

Currently waiting on a driver update issued by Samsung-- right now the driver is Microsoft's. Ordinarily I'd recommend this without reservation but not now. I'm monitoring the issue for any further developments b/c Samsung should have made the driver available around the time they released this product.

I managed to buy the 970 evo plus for £108 when they are normally £140-£180 so i think im content with that bargain

Very good. The sx8200pro I linked is somewhat comparable to the 970evo, but in the end the 970evo out performs it throughout more scenarios.

You should be very satisfied with that SSD.
