I would say: if you don't want ghosting and that's the thing you want the least, don't even risk a VA. Get a good IPS or TN.

Those are the compatible CPU for the B550 motherboard but apparently the 2700X also worked and even the 1st gen ryzen CPU as well
3600 for 220$ is not bad. The X and XT aren't worth it.
If a 3600 wasn't enough the next logical step up is a 3700X
There are good and bad monitors for every panel type, but VA is by far the worst for many gamers across the board. My TN has virtually no ghosting while my VA has extremely bad ghosting, to the point where you'd be better off using a cheap TV. Seriously.
And regarding, 27" for 1080p, also a bad idea due to pixel density. The few extra inches makes a difference, take it from someone who uses a 24" and 27" 1080p and seriously regrets buying the latter due to prior inexperience (it was my first high refresh panel, sue me)
Pixel density can make a decent difference to overall display quality. Anything above 24" for 1080p really isn't worth buying.
TL;DR
TN is often the fastest and best for having minimal ghosting at high refresh rates, but you sacrifice color quality. The average response time of TN panels is around 5ms.
VA has the best contrast and is great for slow paced immersive titles, but for anything serious you'll regret buying one due to horrible ghosting, as it's one of the slowest panel types. The average response time for VA panels is around 8~10ms.
IPS is dead center between the two, and is a jack of all trades. It's not the fastest, but it's fast, and it doesn't look the greatest and doesn't have very good contrast, but it looks better than TN. The average response time for IPS panels is around 6~7ms.
To reiterate, I seriously regret buying (a relatively higher end) VA panel and would never recommend it. Other people who have used similar panels have agreed and preferred TN.
I dont want to go through the return hassle and get a VA panel and there's heavy ghosting on it.
Don't put it off because you don't feel like it, it's not worth it. Don't get stuck with horrid ghosting.
I had the exact same criteria while choosing my monitor and that's why i went with the Dell s2719dgf (27 inches, 1440p, 144 to 155Hz, Freesync but can get GSync on Dislay Port). I didn't regret it. It's a very good TN monitor for the price and I can barely see the difference color wise with another Dell monitor I have at work (non gaming, it's a 60 Hz, 27 inches, 2k IPS monitor).
I dont need a tv though. Just need a monitor that got good color accuracy and doesnt cause heavy ghosting pretty much.

Check out the details under "Perceived blur (pursuit photography)" and see for yourself - won't beat a TN panel but the better colors and crazy contrast ratios sold me. The contrast really shows in darker scenes in space / horror / adventure / driving games, if you're an FPS junkie probably not worth it.
Fck oleds. I owned three gens of lg oleds and they all had burn-ins problem within one year of usage. The stupid marketing would say the newer gen wont have the problem, until you realize no manufacturer provides a warranty against it.
Before you asked why i own multiple oleds, there's this thing called business affiliates
