How do you know it's not your headphones? Desktop speakers do the same thing?
The forums were something like Microsoft and Dell and yet I found nothing related to my search. My search was "Realtek High Definition Audio Driver crackling" and there was nothing about my search result.
I was referring to not posting anything you had done to solve the problem.
You then clarified about updating the driver after I and Brockenstein asked.
1) Have you another set of headphones you can test?
2) Do you have a set of desktop speakers you can test?
3) What is your operating system. Windows 10?
Please note:
Updating drivers is not always the best solution as the driver you are overwriting may be corrupted. Best to completely uninstall the Realtek software then reboot your PC. Reinstall the driver software upon reboot. Next reboot the PC again after installing. Test to see if fixed.
As you said you have little computer knowledge please do the following.
1) Go here and download the driver:
https://www.techspot.com/drivers/driver/file/information/17056/
Click on the first option to download: Windows 64/32 bit
2) Next follow this guide to uninstall programs on Windows 10.

Note: you will be uninstalling the Realtek software then reboot your PC.
3) When you are back on Windows, double left click on the file you downloaded from techspot to install the software.
4) Let the install finish then reboot your PC.
5) Test.
6) Is the problem now solved?
I got a SB Play!3 some years ago, and have upgraded win10 many times without any audio problems - ignorance is bliss!
Pointless asking for help then lashing out at anyone actually trying to help you. Kind of like giving a beggar a coin then taking 4 coins out of their cup.
Your lack of knowledge or knowledge of computers dictates how responses are framed, the basic "here is how to do something" versus "tech speak".
Obviously neither response is viable but more importantly what is very clear is you are ungrateful for any help offered.
If using headphones, plug into rear motherboard port, not the front case port. Configure the device as 2.1 speakers, not Headphones. If enabled, disable "Loudness Equalization"
