CPU Temp vs CPU Package Temp

Just got a I9 10900K and decided to download AIDA64 to do a stress test. There are multiple temperatures on the list but the main ones I was focused on was CPU Temperature and CPU Package Temperature. CPU was at 28 degrees and the CPU Package was at highest 73. I was wondering what the difference was between the CPU and CPU Package.

one is the temp sensor on the mobo under the cpu socket
the other is on the cpu die

I forgot to mention that these where the temperatures while running the stress test.

pkg and cores are the important ones
most will throttle around 100c
under 90c is good
80c is a good target for oc to give some headroom if a fan fails

The processor has different digital thermal sensors to measure the temperature. Core temperature is measured per core while package temperature is a weighted average value of individual core temperatures reported by software monitoring applications.
