3070 with 500W psu?
i have a ryzen 5 3600 with a gtx 1070
and planning to buy a 3070.

actually i have a 350w psu and everything works fine,
i have no lightning or many fans, just one in front one in back,
1 hdd, 1 ssd.

is a good 500w enough for the 3070 or better go with 650w+?

thx in advance

Better to have more than less now because hardware is starting to get more power hungry. I don't recommend less than 650W.

Intel and NVIDIA have basically given up on power draw at this point because gamers don't care about how much power their system will use. They can push it as much as they want as a result.

I just bought a 750w psu for the 3070 just to be safe. 500w wont be enough
1070 need 150w and they recommend 500w
3070 need 220w and they recommend 650w

but think you´re right before i have to buy again in future better go with 650-700+
a quality 500w would be enough

your 350w psu is not enough for the build with the 1070, unless it has no extra drives, fans or accessories

The 3070 is still expansive at 800 euro there so i won't buy that.

Well let's say 300 maxed out always+ 65(ryzen/intel with 65tdp) + the other things which i don't really know but i don't think it will eat more than 100w altogether = 465,in theory a 500w will be enough i suppose, my 590 never used more than 200 and in few cases hits 200,so the rest of the wats will be used as buffer?

Yeah...but i don't want to buy a new psu , soooo if people can run things with their current psu why not asking,im the kind of people that like to use things until it get's broken ,if it works don't trash it ...i don't quite remember the real quote but still..
