Windows 10 microphone volume keeps resetting
After 10 or so mins, it resets to 66, when it should be 100. No idea what is causing this. It's the setting in control panel.

I've already unchecked "allow applications take exclusive control".

Any ideas?

Also check your audio software settings, ie; I have realtek audio that has some settings and I also have arctis software, (headset), that has settings.
Every time there's Realtek update pushed through Windows, it screws my sound for weeks until my computer manufacturer releases their add on program to accompany it. In my case, OMEN audio control. And then the process repeats whenever there's another Realtek or major Windows update.

It's so effing annoying!
My solution was uninstalling realtek drivers and using Microsoft ones

For some reason now i have enhacement options (bass boost, loudness equalization....),not complaining about those options but rly curious why they didnt appear with the realtek drivers
I think if you have a branded PC you have to wait for your manufacturer to release them rather than just rely on the Windows Update ones as they attach extra sound options/software from company to company.

I've tried Windows ones and the Realtek ones from direct from the sites and no joy. I have to wait for HP to release theirs in a couple of weeks (hopefully). This happens at least twice a year and really pisses me off. Been happening for 2 years now even on my previous models.
