get a dedicated cpu with for build and use the 1050ti
3600 is a much better cpu
no need for a 5xx board, you can get a b450 will work as good
get a quality psu, not another junk brand
(then you can upgrade the gpu to a 1660s or better without worrying about it)
enough room in the budget for a 500g nvme ssd

will be a huge upgrade from the fm apu
Yes the 3600 was my first go to option but it'll bottleneck with my gtx 1050ti and I dont want want that (I dont plan to upgrade my GPU in the next 3 years or so). That's why I go with the ryzen 5 3400g and for the b450m ds3h will it need a bios update with the ryzen I choose? Also thanks for the PSU suggestion I'll take this one instead of the AZZA. I didn't know it was a junk brand.
Which x570 phantom gaming mainboard model? Read the bios updates notes it might require steps and reading warnings.
You can also check out pcpartpicker for prices just change the region to Canada.
There's a ryzen 5 3600x combo deal ($520+shipping+taxes) at memory express but it looks sold out.

This is the motherboard I'm planning to buy. I don't want to spend extra cash for a flash drive just to update the bios. I read the x570 phantom gaming doesnt need to and is ready to go after I built the PC.
1. You're better off with a 2600 or 3600 over the 3400G any day because it's a weak APU designed to run the integrated graphics and not a decent dedicated video card. You will get guaranteed performance over the 3400G with the 1050 Ti and it won't bottleneck the CPU because of how low end the 1050 Ti is. A 3600 will handle up to a 2080 Ti just fine in the majority of titles.
2. Avoid ASRock like the plague for AM4 motherboards; in recent months there was a slight problem that came to light where motherboard sensors for power were misreporting, which can literally result in the motherboard using too much or too little power and ultimately results in worse thermals or performance, and ASRock was among the WORST for this. Stick to ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte. For low budget, I'd suggest a Gigabyte B550M-DS3H, but something decent is ASUS' TUF GAMING X570-PLUS or MSI's X570 Tomahawk. (Anything more expensive than the 200$ range for X570 is complete overkill)
3. Your RAM is standard and will be perfectly okay.
4. Avoid AZZA PSUs, they're a cheap niche brand with low quality power supplies. Stick to 80+ Bronze or better units from be quiet!, Corsair, EVGA, FSP Group, and SeaSonic. I'd suggest getting a 650W PSU for the GPU upgrade potential, as you can run a 2080 Ti (or 3070) on a 650W PSU but I doubt either would like running on a 550W.

Might help but make sure they know your in Canada and research the parts for reliability.
Very informative, I guess I'll take the 3600 and it'll work better with my GTX 1050 TI if I understood, right?
Not so simple, the 3600 is a better CPU, the 3400g may be good enough to get the best from your 1050ti, therfore the 3600 will not give you better ''gaming performance'' but overall it is faster and has more cores so will handle better in general, but as i said above it also gives you a lot more headroom to upgrade in the future, as nines said up to a 2080ti if you please.
