can i play this game w/o the minimum recommended video card?
i wanna get bayonneta, and acording to can you RUN it i meet all the recommended requirements except for the video card. apparently, the one i have is just a bit bellow the minimum. the minimum required for bayonetta is:

Radeon HD6950 / GeForce GTX 570 (VRAM 768MB)

i have:
GeForce MX250

you probably can but you would likely need to drop below your native resolution with low settings across the board.. assuming it will even launch on the mx250 at all

some games yes, but most no

the mx250 may not have the instruction sets required to play the game
and not enough power or vram to run it

for gaming you want a laptop with a gtx card

I'd estimate similar or better performance on the MX compared to the GTX570. It has somewhat fewer processing units but is more modern by several generations. The game will certainly run, the question is only speed. If you buy the game here on steam you can just go ahead, look and if sucks then refund it within 2h gameplay.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfK90B7ZDSI (Not really applicable, but running Bayonetta 2 on a MX150 in CEMU pretty well.)

I can't imagine the PC port of Bayonetta is more demanding that the other games listed here. With Steam's refund policy you could always buy it and try it out. As long as you stay under two hours of play time then you have an option to refund it if the performance isn't good.

The hardware listed in the minimum isn't the absolute minimum, the game will not run below this. It's a combination of what they had laying around, or what they want to bother supporting, or what they think will provide a decent experience based on their criteria/targets. The problem is what all those things are, aren't an industry standard. So whether you have a lot of room or a little room to work with when it comes to minimum requirements takes some work to sort out. No general rules to go by.
