You are forgetting something I see a lot among PC gamers.
Games are coded to the metal on consoles. PC development is wasteful. In order to get a game to run close to what these consoles will accomplish in 2-3 years from now we'll need to brute force our way by far more powerful hardware. Like for like has not and never will cut it.
When you say ''What these consoles will accomplish in 2-3 years'' you do understand that at that point the games will run pretty bad on the consoles at lower graphics and lower framerates, i remember getting Battlefield 4 on xbox 360 and it ran like crap, i bought it on the xboxone a couple month later and it ran great, i know this was at the end of life for the xbox360 but my point is just because they make the game run on the console does not mean its runs well, if i remember rightly they also limited the lobby sizes to 32 on the 360 but it was 64 on the one.
Intel dominates in games and where the i5 10600K seems to be at the top. A budget CPU for gaming dominate the FPS charts.
When doing a top 10 chart for highest FPS Intel takes all of the spots so far.
Some games may have a problem with the multi-CCD chips like TR and R9, but that is not related to SMT.
