Total rubbish. Have a go on Xbox x running 4K 60fps and tell me again it’s set to low pixel count. Some of the games look outstanding
Im saying that people throw the 4k@60 around everywhere but whats the point if we dont know the settings
staggering upgrades cpu/mobo/ram and gpu is the best way to keep a system updated
But does it matter what the settings are if it looks good and plays smooth? Think these days people care so much about settings that they forget what gamings about.
However, at the risk of feeding it.
The list of games you can enjoy fully on the pc is too exhaustive to even begin listing, let's alone the genres that are pretty much exclude to pc's and the fact within a yeah I bet pc will get nearly every ps5 game to boot.
Consoles have their place, but a pc can do everything a console can, better.
With regards to upgrades, you can play on below max settings on an older system and likely still have a better looking experience than a console can get you.
Oh and 4k on consoles is rarely ever at anything like max settings.
It's why 4k resolution is just a dumb idea unless you have the power to max it out as otherwise, you can have a better looking, smoother game at lower res with higher settings.
Oh and finally, who says you have to choose one or the other? Nothing stops anyone from having a pc and a PlayStation should any exclusives pop up on it that you want.
PC can't do everything a PS5 will. Because it has no next-gen games. Only games held back by 2013 hardware. Only SONY invested in true next-gen games since 2017 to have them ready for release in 2020-2021 and dominate in ratings and awards. Remember, all multiplatform games were optimized for consoles. PC has to brute force them with raw power.
We saw a glimse of what the PS5 can do with Horizon 2 trailer. Visible grains of sand and endless draw distance. Ac Valhalla and Halo Infinite look like cartoon games in comparison. Don't get me started on Crysis Remastered.
PS5 + PC is a good combo but no point of upgrading it with an RTX 3000 gpu since it will still have no games that match up to PS5 next-gen exclusives graphically. Not to mention in gameplay. Exclusives have been dominating for a while now, Sony just has the largest amount of them.

Oh and the amazing ps5 hardware is decidedly mid tier and that's before the 3000 series shows up, if you think its not, it just shows your lack of knowledge on the subject, oh and optimising of games these days largely means building for the pc and then turning settings down until it runs well on a console, just look at any game available on both, the pc blows it away.
As I said, there's a place for consoles, but a pc beats them hands down, for every console exclusive the pc has 10 or more of its own.
RTS genre is dead. The fact that the only RTS games still popular are remasters of games from 20 years ago that are horrible without nostalgia is proof. Bad thing to bring up.
WoW is dying and runs on ancient hardware. It also looks bland now without nostalgia. Pretty sure 2007 PC can still play it easily. FF14 and ESO are on console and play best with a controller. They were designed for controllers in general.
PS5 exclusives will all be on PC by 2021? I HOPE you are joking for your sake. All you will get is more droppings. Maybe Days Gone and Ratchet & Clank reboot to advertise the PS5 exclusive sequels. For every exclusive ported to PC, PS get's a new one. Nioh 2, FF7 Remake, Persona 5 Royal etc. It is not catching up at all. And Kingdom Hearts 3 stayed exclusive forever.
Consoles are never 'mid-tier' as they are prioritized by developers. All multiplatform games are held back by 2013 consoles right now. That means power doesn't matter much. Also Elden Ring and Cyberpunk got delayed by a year just to optimize them properly for all the 7 platforms they are releasing on.
It will be interesting seeing what you guys will come up with after the console is actually out with must-play TRUE next-gen exclusives.
We already know that these machines will have a set setting, Consoles are not really a danger to PC gaming or PC usage all in all, since the console is merely an entertainment system.... The fight that consoles take atm are against eachother and those new streaming services, because those are trying to gain the console crowd.
In two years, these consoles will be dated and on pair with a low range PC, in 4 years they will be abysmal, in 6 insignificant and so on. The pro about consoles are that you buy a box, then put it in your TV, then play games.... there is no upgrading, no change to play games, you know that the next 6-10 years you will be able to play games that come out.
But with only 60 fps and many games restrcited to 30 still, this is far from reaching what PC do.. I had 100 hz and ran high fps! in games back in 99.. (yes I had a 100hz CRT!!).... Consoles are great as a little entertainment system, but you can do no tax on them, no editing, no rendering and plenty of genres can´t be played either (mainly because of the controller scheme)
