I reviewed the manual for your motherboard, it says that if any of those 4 white LEDs in the lower-right corner of the Motherboard, that a device associated with that is a problem.

CPU/DRAM/VGA/BOOT (Status LEDs)
The status LEDs show whether the CPU, memory, graphics card, and operating system are working properly after system power-on. If the CPU/DRAM/VGA LED is on, that means the corresponding device is not working normally; if the BOOT LED is on, that means you haven't entered the operating system yet.

CPU: CPU status LED
DRAM: Memory status LED
VGA: Graphics card status LED
BOOT: Operating system status LED

But if you are not having any problems, ignore it. You could cover up those 4 LEDs with black electrical tape if you wish, as this mobo bios does not have an option to simply disable them.

I would also check that your BIOS is up to date. As this could be a bug of sorts when using certain GPU models perhaps.

I had this happen in the past with my GTX 1070 founders edition and it needed a display id update using Nvidia's display id updating tool.

Basically some graphic cards need an update for the display port to function properly during boot. After that the display port was working without the VGA LED.

Check Nvidia for a firmware/display id update.

Make sure power to the monitor,or tv is on first. If it is a bright white led,it means it thinks no monitor is hooked up.Mine did that and I have to turn my monitor on before I power on my pc

This 100% solved my problem! I've been building my own rigs since PC was "a thing" and recently did a new build due to Windows 11 TPM specs forcing me to upgrade.

I started thinking I'd finally become too stupid to do this anymore because I couldn't figure out this stupid light lol. Silly that it's just "boot order" with peripherals.... ugh.

Thank you!
What's silly is people thinking they "need" Win11
My goodness, this thread has some helpful replies! One thing that worked for me was disabling windows fast startup.

Late reply, but this firmware update tool for DP 1.3 and 1.4 worked for me even if my monitor only support 1.2. I have an acer predator monitor and asus mobo.
to add to this since people are still finding it.....my fix was to change DP settings on my monitor....everything booted and worked fine but the monitor was on DP 1.4 when the old 1070 it was hooked up to only supported DP1.2 (DP is display port)....I also had a ASUS motherboard
This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
