2) Is it really to grab mouse with nice materials?
3) Do you think G402 is worse than G502 if you tried it?
1) I don't accidentally press it very often, and it's defaulted to shift to a set DPI when held down.
2) Yes, it's a very comfortable and well-built mouse.
3) G502 is better; it's one of the best mice that Logitech has ever produced. The Proteus Spectrum (original model, now it's the Hero model) was one of the best selling gaming mice.
2. Very comfy mouse. I was a little unsure about the edges of the buttons. Felt odd, not uncomfortable, at first but you get used to it and I really like it now.
3. Haven't tried the G402. G502 must be better as it's had multiple iterations. Proteus Core, Proteus Spectrum now the Hero version and even the G502 Lightspeed (wireless) version.
I've never once accidently pressed the "sniper" button on the thumbrest on the G502, nor do I use it all that much. If you end up getting the G502 and accidently press it often you can just disable it in G Hub.
I had the G402 before the G502 HERO and was quite underwhelmed by the gap in difference between the two. They track similarlarly, they're similar shapes but the G502 has more buttons, weight adjustment and a braided cable.
The G502 is definitely better, but not by miles
