The higher end GTX cards and GPUs are at least 7x times as powerful as lower end GT cards btw.
So 10fps vs 70fps at higher resolutions.
GTX == gaming
GT cards do not compare to GTX they are lower.
http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GeForce-GT-720-vs-Nvidia-GeForce-9800-GT/m12696vsm7716
Which was released 10 years ago. Don't even bother trying to compare them with the newer GTX videocards.
For 800$ you could have gotten a pretty solid desktop PC back then.
Not this embarrassment.
But still not recommended. When I started to use GTX cards I never looked back anymore.
The difference between the strongest GT 1030 and the weakest GTX 1050 is more as double.
In case of a budget setup is better to get a Ryzen APU which is 10% better as GT 1030.
Seriously ripped off hard :P
How about GTX 750? some of these bad optimized game said that they recommend GPU like that
I can't recommend anything less as this GPU is about 3 years old now.
It's comparable to a GTX 1070 or GTX 1070 Ti.
I said the 1000 series cause thats the modern. If you have very low cash and still want more as that 720, get a used 750 Ti off from ebay. The Ti version is 20% better as the 750, even thats something.
But games like Doom 2016 or Prey will struggle even on that, unfortunately is a bad time to buy GPUs.
For ~ $800 You could have bought a i5 7th gen / 1050 ti combo.
If you really did, I'm going to have to assume this was a Craigslist trade, or buying it from site such as eBay, or etc... I mean a simple Google search, or asking questions would of saved you from making this mistake.
