VR / USB 3.0 / driver?
My case has two USB 3.0 ports (Fractal Design Define R5), and my mainbord MSI 990FXA has also two. They never worked as 3.0, and it was fine for me so far. Now I'm interested in VR and I have to get the USB ports to run. I just don't know how. How do I see if they work like they should do? If not, how do I install them? I've read something about drivers for each USB 3.0 chip, but.. what kind of chip? I am a bit confused. Do I install the drivers via mainboard software (I think I don't have any so far...)

Geh zur webseite vom hersteller des mainboard da musst dann nach treibern für dein mainboard suchen. Oder cd vom mainboard und treiber installieren
You need drivers to run USB 3.0 or 3.1 ports at speed.

Go to your offical motherboard website > support > drivers > download the latest ones avaiable

EDIT: Found them here...

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/990FXA-GAMING#down-driver&Win10%2064

Under "Others Drivers" > ASMedia USB3.0/3.1 Drivers

Direct link: http://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/asmedia_usb31_w10.zip

(Assuming you are using Win 10 - 64 bit, else search for yourself there)

Thanks, I got that working. I've got an Oculus Rift for testing, and I connected the sensors already. The Oculus Setup doesn't recognise the plugged in headset, however.
So the same USB 3.0 port is ok with the sensor connection, but if I connect the headset, the setup keeps scanning. The orange light on the headset itself is on, Windows tells me I can use the devise, even steam already comes with a matching popup for SteamVR, but the Setup keeps scanning. Meh. Not a good start...

Edit: I've checked the cable on the headset side, it's alright. Somehow, it still wont work.

What's the heatset?
It's a Oculus Rift with controllers, CV1.
I've run the checkup software to see if my system matches the requirements, normally it should be ok.
