USB Headset sounds muffled
Hello,

Just recently my old gaming headset stopped working, so I went out and bought a USB Headset (Trust Quasar USB).
However after pluggin it in, I immediately noticed that the audio coming out sounds very muffled. Game sounds, music and even voices sound like I was wearing headphones over my headphones.
The headset also doesn't show up in my Realtek HD settings and the Windows (Windows 10 Pro 64bit) settings don't help much.
Any idea if there is a fix for this? Any kind of help would be appreciated, thanks.

Somewhere on the cable or inside the headphone there will be a sound chip and it's most likely not the best one out there since it's a $30 headphone, so that is probably also what is causing your sound quality to be not all that great.

Also the online reviews on this thing are terrible and it's been on the market since 2010..

USB = it is its own Codec & Driver
Just like how Audio from GPU via HDMI/DP is a Codec onboard the GPU itself, not from your Sound Card / Motherboard Audio Codec+Driver
