M.2 SSD makes my laptop microstutter even when replaced..
I bought the Silicon Power 512GB NVMe M.2 SSD for my gaming laptop to have a quick boot time and I did a clean install of Windows 10 as well. When installed all my drivers and everything, I started encounter the stutter when watching a video. The audio would do a quick distort and occurs while playing games as well. Its a quick stutter or freeze so I contacted Amazon about it and they sent a replacement and when I cloned everything over to the new SSD the issue still occurs. Any fixes can you guys recommend?

The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 7567
Specs are -
i5-7300HQ
GTX 1050 4GB
16GB Ram

Press Winkey+E
Right click THIS PC
Click Manage
On left hand side click on Services
At the top of the listing click Name to sort in ABC or ZXY sorting method. Then click the top most service name and press S on your keyboard. It should jump right to it, or near to it, by name. Then you want to right click the "Superfetch" service, go to Properties, if running click Stop, then change its property from Auto to Disabled. Then click OK and restart Windows

Searched up why Superfetch was missing and it was going under SysMain instead. Disabled it and still the same.

Have you checked the drive temp to see if it's getting too hot at some point?
Forron 2021년 11월 6일 오후 10시 31분
Yes. It doesn't run hot.

You install the Motherboard Chipset and NVME Drivers?
Forron 2021년 11월 9일 오전 5시 06분
I have and tried out if the NVME slot could be the problem, but it isn't.

^ this
if you reiinstalled the os you need to get the correct drivers, never rely on windows update for correct/functional drivers

According to a post on the dell site, there is only 1 lane available which reduces the speed to 1/4. I know very little about speed and lanes but I suspect that this could be the cause.

Then there is a post about a bios update which fixed a problem -

I have a Asus TUF Gamin F17 Laptop. New installation with Drivers was no Problem. My Problem are those stutters. I cant install the Samsung driver for the 960 Evo because i cant activate AHCI in the BIOS.

AHCI is the default for all SATA Chipsets since Intel Skylake was released.
AHCI is included and installed as part of the Motherboard Chipset Driver Package.
However if you are using any NVME SSD, you either want to install the NVME Driver from the SSD maker, if provided, such as Samsung, or go download and install the one from Intel if you have an Intel based Motherboard. AMD does not provide an NVME driver separately and thus is included in the AMD Ryzen Chipset Driver Package.

Check that you are using the correct M2 Slot. As most Desktops and Laptops nowa days offer more then one M2 slot. Some M2 slot(s) might not offer the fullest available NVME speeds. For example many motherboards might have 1x full speed NVME M2 slot and 1x SATA speed M2 slot. You might be able to install an NVME SSD into a slower sata speed m2 slot, but you will then of course never net above approx 550MB/s read & write.

Overall if there is stuttering; this is generally going to be some other issue and nothing to do with any of this I have spoken about in here.

If you are using Win10 or 11 after you get it initially setup, auto driver feature disabled, all Important Windows Updates installed. All needed runtimes installed such as DirectX Redist June 2010; Visual C++ Runtime Packages; dot-NET & ASP Frameworks...

If might be helpful to disable Cortana, Windows Search Service and OneDrive.

Then use the app called ShutUp10 to disable anything to do with device location sharing and MS data & telemetry collection/sharing.

Also be sure to configure Windows Updates so that it never is sharing your updates, or looking for updates from other machines or networks.
