It must be good.

I have the Charge 3, a chef I know has the Flip 4, and both are the best in their class, IMO, that I've ever heard.

I would love to have the Extreme and the Boombox, too. I have no doubt they are also top quality sound. JBL is quality stuff.

Except the Charge 4. They added wattage, but took out the second speaker, so it's a mono speaker now -- and they took out the microphone, so you can't use it for hands-free any more. Not an upgrade, but a downgrade.

For the Boombox, get one from Amazon and try it for a few days. You can send it back for any reason. That's what I did for the Charge 4. They asked why, I said, "I don't like it." They said, "OK."

I currently own 2 Megabooms and I have a full hifi system with Klipsch subwoofer and wharfedale towers but I need something in between and I saw the boombox on sale for £225 from £399 (because theyve released the second one) and the second I was able to order one after being away It went out of stock.

im really looking forward to buying one

Boombox is the name of a model of bluetooth speaker from JBL. It's the largest, most powerful speaker in the line that includes the Flip, Charge, Extreme, and Boombox.

And I had big boomboxes in the 80s.

My Charge 3 sounds better than all of them, by far.

Also know that JBL is Harmon, so it has a good pedigree.

_I_, becuase this is a hardware forum, with knowledgeable people on it.

OP, you may want to consider the Extreme instead. It's definitely more portable. You can strap the Extreme onto a bike frame (I do, with my Charge 3) -- but not the Boombox. Not easily, anyway.
