moving from Corsair K70 Lux to Corsair K70 MK2: woeful experience.
So I've had a corsair K70 lux cherry brown for several years now. BEST KEYBOARD I have ever owned. But i had gamed so much on it it was getting old and so I thought time to upgrade. I decided what better keyboard to get then the next version right? the K70 MK2 RGB. Man was i WRONG!

As soon as i started typing on the thing the keys felt cheaper and there was this metal echoey sound that my previous K70 didn't have. the thing is both were cherry brown so I can't see why they would feel and sound different. Then i noticed some keys in the first week were permanently sticking for like several seconds before popping back up again! Now it has been 2 weeks and one of my arrow keys keeps coming off easily and one switch even permanently died!

It's clear that corsair have cut costs here and their quality control is now woeful. never buying a corsair keyboard again! So I want to ask what brand should i switch to? looking something of excellent build quality and has cherry brown switches as well as a palm wrest.

I cant share your experiance. In last 2 years i got 4 of them (killed 3 with drinks) with cherry mx red switches. None of them had this "metal echoey" and switches work perfect. The last keyboard lives for close to an year and everything is fine.

I have had similar problems with corsair myself to the confusion of many on these forums who say corsair are top notch, i still use their Ram, Aoi Coolers, Psu, and Fans, but that is it, i can vouch for Glorious though, i believe my Glorious GmmK Tenkeyless is far superior to any other keyboard i have bought, even better if you pair it with some Khail Box switches in my opinion as they are less wobbly than other types although you will probably have your own switch preference, also if you are not digging the cost on these the Logitech G-Pro was a decent keyboard i used prior to my Glorious, but they only have 1 option on Switches which are Ok they are the Romer G Switch mostly i would compare them to Browns.

no joke I would straight up buy the glorious KB right now if it wasn't for the fact that their wrists wrests don't have magnetic attachments. I'm a weird gamer who likes to move their keyboard around lots while gaming so having the two detached from each other is a dealbreaker for me unfortunately :C

I'm going to say now, ome bad experience doesn't mean you should stop buying from a brand. There's always a defective one in a batch, something that QC can't see.
It's also possible you got a second hand one, people like or order from places like Amazon, then put their old broken one in the box and refund it. So they get a new keyboard for nothing.

That said, Corsair keyboards are pretty bad; build quality is a bit meh and anyone who's looking for a good keyboard shouldn't buy them.

As alreasy mentioned, GMMK.
Or you could get the Mountain.gg board (cant remember the name)
And get some form of Kailh box, or Gateron.
Because those are the two best switchmakers on the market.

Ok Shame, that would really narrow your choices right down, i personally find it better that i can move the wrist wrest as sometimes i play with the wrest further apart from the board, and you can choose a wrest that suits you rather than needing to use the connected wrest, if you really are that intent on the wrest being connected then i don't know what to suggest, as i have never bought a board with the rest connected.
