Helps to install such games to an ssd.
faster cpu/gpu/drive can help, but some games will always have low res textures until higher ones are called for
My hardware isn’t the issue. The “pop” always occurs as soon as I cross a specific “line”. This isn’t my hardware loading things too slow. It’s an issue with the game’s programming.
Interestingly enough, putting my texture settings on ultra made no improvement; the “pop-in” distance is the same regardless of settings.
I’m not really interested in high-res textures. I’d rather just have the low-res textures at all times, regardless of distance.
There must be some way to tweak my settings on a gpu-driver level to make this happen. Maybe Nvidia inspector has something for this?
