Thinking about a gaming desktop
Hey there. I'm thinking about getting a gaming desktop at some point. I've looked around online and I've found 3 options that I like and I wanted to see if they were any good. I'm not good with computers when it comes to understanding what hardware is good and bad so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Anyway here are the computers I'm looking at. For context I like to game a lot and I do video editing and content creation but not at the same time. Which of these would be my best bet?
Looking at budget under 1,500 usd, DIY using amd parts where possible.

look video editing and gaming are what i do. What's your point?
Ignore him. All this guy does is screech about people getting more cores than they actually need, based on what he thinks. Still thinks that quad-cores are enough even though most people find that 6 is the sweet spot.
ok thanks.
Which of these is a good value paired together? Could it keep to a $1,000 budget?

Ryzen 5 2600
Ryzen 5 3600
RX 5700 xt 8gb
RX 5600 xt

Edit

Ryzen 5 3600
Msi b450 tomahawk max
Amd rx590
16gb vengeance memory 16 ddr4 3200
512gb ssd sata
Psu 500 watt 80 plus

would this build be good enough?

Ryzen 5 1600 AF is a better deal than the 2600 if you can find it for cheap enough -- its MSRP is 85$ US but it's basically identical to the 2600.
The 3600 is good, as is the 5700 XT. The 5600 XT is in a tough spot, as the 2060 KO model from EVGA is a strong contender.

As for the build, I would change:
1. GPU -- RX 590 is inefficient and doesn't perform much better than the 1650 SUPER which costs less and uses considerably less power. You're better off with a 1660 SUPER if that's all your budget allows, otherwise the RX 5700 series is great price/performance value.

2. PSU -- Brand and quality mean so much more than the label wattage and rating; not all 80+ units are created equal. Stick to SeaSonic, Corsair, and EVGA for reliable PSUs, but avoid the cheaper models if possible.
A system with a 5700 XT and 3600 should have at least a 600W PSU. With a 1660 SUPER, you can get away with a 500W unit, but an RX 590 can use more power than a 5700 XT and would be better off with a 650W. RX 500 series GPUs are an older architecture and are horribly inefficient.

Ok. So what's a reasonable budget? I'm looking at 700, 800,1,00 or 1,400 dollars. 2hich if these budgets go as me the most options and best value? 1,400 is the max for me but I'd prefer it if it could be closer to 1,000. In other words, what's the most I can get for the dollar that's equivalent to or better than an Intel i7-9750H @ 2.60ghz
rtx 2060
930gb ssd

Go as high as you can, since you're video editing. Better CPU+GPU can get the job done faster, as well as a fast NVMe SSD.

It'll be mix use about 50/50 between gaming and video editing. What should I look for in terms of bang for buck? If I go that route will It be worse of I had just spent more $?

This is pretty much the best price/performance hardware right now. You're not going to find much better out there currently.

But one I can randomly think of is DCS World.
Exactly as I thought. No any proof.
And, btw, recommended RAM size is 16GB for this game:

Yeah get at least 24 GB of RAM.

16 is sufficient for *almost* anything now.

No

You sure about that? I've used 16 gigs of ram for a over a year now on my laptop and I've had no issues with games. 24 gigs seems overkill

16GB is fine, but some games like Planet Coaster can potentially use up enough RAM that you'll run out, because running the OS can easily take up between 2~4 GB by itself. My friend had issues with some games like that using too much RAM, so he had to upgrade from 16.

And there's another philosophy to think about: It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
There's nothing wrong with having a bit extra RAM, storage space, etc. so long as you can actually afford it without affecting the quality of other components in the build.

Not to mention, DDR4 is getting stupid cheap now, and DDR5 is going to become a standard within the next few years. After that point, DDR4 will start to increase in price over time as retail stock of DDR4 starts to plummet due to it being rendered somewhat obsolete as far as brand new hardware configurations are concerned. So chances are it's best to buy more DDR4 now before the value starts to rise after it's replaced with DDR5. Right now, for around the price of what it used to cost for only 16GB DDR4, you can get 32GB DDR4.

how's this for a build? The youtube video I linked says it's a great $900 build. Also what's the difference between the rx 5600 xt & rx 570 ? What's the better choice? Are any of them the AMD equivalent of the rtx2060? I wanna make this an all AMD build.

The RX 570 is way below the RX 5600 XT. The 5600 XT gets almost twice the performance. The 5600 XT is equivalent to a RTX 2060.

Ok so if I put Ryzen 5 3600 and 5600xt together w a cooler and case w an hdd would that be a good rig for gaming at 1080p and video editing?

That's a fair bit better, except for the PSU. I don't trust Cooler Master at all since their PSUs are generally not good quality. Get a model from Corsair like TXM or RM series, or a SuperNova G model from EVGA, or FOCUS Plus from SeaSonic if you want something that will actually last. I had a Cooler Master PSU blow and kill a motherboard that couldn't be replaced.

RTX 2060 and 5600 XT are basically the same.
