MSI Afterburner OSD not visible

I've never used it before, so I am assuming I just set a hotkey, choose what elements I want to monitor in the RTSS application, and then launch a game? Will this work in all games or only some games, and if so, what's the logic behind getting it actually "working"?

In msi go to settings, monitoring, then check all that I want. They're all checked by default I think. Click each you want to osd in the osd box and apply.

Now some games will not allow it to work. Destiny and csgo being the two I know that dont.

The OSD box is empty on my app, which is puzzling, I assumed it's supposed to be empty. Hmmm. Let me try again.

Screenshots in steam are so cumbersome, I have grown tired of their lazy mode.

RTSS (Riva Tuner Server) is not much simpler to work out when you have a 16core machine it spams you with a huge list of values to log. Ha Ha, suffice to say, you want a few games running, and then tab to each game, and mash the hotkey you set up until you see something (top left by default) appear.

What helped most is to experiment with the "show in tray" to verify things are working.
