i5-10600k OC'd Air cooler recommendations
I'm planning on getting a i5-10600k and want to OC it around 5.0ghz to get it to preform almost as good as a i9 10900K stock.

I'm stuck on what air cooler to use to achieve this as I'm getting a lot of mixxed information regarding it.

Currently looking at a "nh-u12s chromax.black" and might add a additional fan to help with the cooling. Would this be sufficient in cooling a OC'd 10600k?

Any recommendations would be great but I would primarily want to go Air cooling for my next build.

NH-D15
Noctua 15s or dual fan varient.

Ps verify compatible mounting hardware regardless what you buy.

I can recommend the NH-D15 on its performance, but be aware of RAM and case clearances.

Yeah D15 was initialy my first choice but I have a Phanteks 400A (CPU Clearance of around 160mm) and 39mm high memory modules. SO I wasn't sure if I'd be able to have the 2 fans for use.

Phanteks P400A - 160mm CPU cooler clearance
Crucial Ballistix Memory - 39mm tall
Gigabyte Z490 Vision G

Noctua NH-D14 is bit lower with 160mm heat sink but still beast of a cooler with dual fans.

I'll look into it, seems interesting. Thanks!
There's the D15S, which only comes with one fan, and is designed for better compatibility

Yeah that one is 160mm as well.
I looked around and checked people's build's with the nh-u12s.

OC should be fine as I only intend to VR and not do any large renders/stressing the cpu for a long time. So in general it should be fine for a 4.9/5.0 OC! If its not good I'll just get a D14/D15S

Dark Rock PRO 4

It`s 163mm high, may not fit the case that has 160mm clearance.
Memory won't be of any issues.
These coolers work fine even with tall ram, just install the ram first before you attach your cooler fans.

Even if it had clearance for the ram my case only allows for 160mm CPU coolers, Dark rock pro 4 is sadly 163mm.
Ok I didn't see what case you had.
Plenty of others to choose from.

Otherwise just get a decent AIO LC
