The other day I was in a call with 2 of my friends when one of them told me to get Tunngle so that we could show the other one how AoE 2 was played via screenshare. I went to the website and installed it but the installer ♥♥♥♥ed up so Tunngle kept trying to crash but would restabilize after the error message would pop up. After my skepticism got the better of me I uninstalled it. Well, yesterday I noticed that my laptop was acting slow. An example being when I went to play Shellshocked Live I was geting constant frame drops to below 10, with an average of about 20-35 on lowest settings at 720p resolution. This is not normal as I get between 40-50 with medium settings on 720p resolution, with frame drops to the 20s only when a lot of stuff is happening on screen. Today was the same except I started up Rimworld instead. I usually get around 50-60 frames on 1x time speed when moving and 60fps when time is paused and moving. Instead, today I was getting about 40-49fps when time was paused and moving. Not only that but the game crashed when I pressed the "Load Game" button and almost crashed a second time when I did it again.

Would Tunngle be linked to this? It's the only thing that seems like it would be as it is the only program that I have installed as of late and nothing seems to be causing any issues. If not, what might be causing the issues? Nothing seems to be consuming much of anything significant in the taskbar.

Do u have any antivir ? If yes run it, if not, grab malwarebytes and run a scan.

Also how old is the laptop?

As for the age of the laptop, it is about 3 years old (give or take a year).

I did another scan, this time with "scan for rootkits" on. Still, nothing was found.

Did tunngle install any programms?
Possible a app could also cause slow downs. Like a toolbar or whatever.

Also, have loaded tunngle from the official site?

I think that it was the official site, as it was my friend who provided it and it was the same thing that he and the other friend had.
As for other programs, it only installed Tunngle itself and nothing else.

Other questions, what are your specs, any overclocking?
Have tried updates, like graphic(nividia/amd if) and windows?
What are the temps while playing? Also possible over the years u have a nice dust collection in your hardware.

Windows 10 (64 bit)

No graphical updates and only the windows 10 updates that come once or twice every month.

The temps I do not know, but it does get toasty on the upper left part of the laptop.
Dust collection is very possible. I did mean to blow out the dust like 5 days ago but forgot.

I am still in need of help with this problem. The problem is still the same, even after the new Windows update that was pushed onto me last night (Fall Creators Update).

So you'll want to reinstall the latest drivers for your GPU and Ethernet/Wifi

I would also check the Task manager and look for suspicious processes and those sucking up more resources than they should be.

1: I have an APU, not a GPU. It's a laptop.
2: I got Tunngle from https://www.tunngle.net/en/

Also nothing out of the ordinary is taking up any resources, with only things like Superfetch of Windows defender using up memory now and again.

The GPU is built onto the CPU, thats what an APU is.

So either way you slice it, its still a GPU that needs the AMD drivers for it to work properly.
and since you thought otherwise, wouldnt surprise me if the GPU driver or lack there of is the problem.

It really can't be the problem as it has been the problem for several days (the update occurred last night at like 11pm). It wasn't until I got Tunngle that the problems started to occur. But hell, I can try to get the drivers (which I have no idea how to get).
