Mouse works fine on desk, but not on mousepad
I have a cheap mouse (around £5) and a steel series mouse pad, and my mouse works fine on my desk, but not propely on my mouse pad. My mouse will move my cursor, then stop detecting it sometimes so I will have to pick up the mouse and move it again. Think it is just the cheap mouse not liking the mousepad surface?

yes absolutely, put the SS mouse pad away until you get get a decent optical mouse like the G203[www.amazon.co.uk] it's a steal for 25 quid...

That's the problem. Just use it on your desk until you can replace it with something better. The optical sensor in the mouse is not tracking properly on the pad.
