Will my laptop support a 144hz monitor?

I currently have a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop, and i want to get a monitor to play stuff at 144hz, but I am wondering if this works.

If this is your series of laptop, it says it has a HDMI 2.0 port.

I don't think the HDMI 2.0 port is capable of 144Hz.

HDMI 2.0 can do 144hz just fine at 1080p and even 1440p.
