Stuck at Allocating disk space
Attempting to download Watch dogs 2 and it has been stuck on allocating disk space for almost an hours. It has the last loading bit/staple thing left and is just frozen like that.

And the game is downloading in the background at the same time.

How do i fix this?

Just cancel and do it again.
If it's a HDD and not an SSD, well yea it's going to take longer if the game is fairly large, u just have to wait til its done.

Same thing happening for me. It starts to download before the allocation completes. And then after the full 20GB download it's still stuck on allocating. If I hit cancel the whole install disappears. Frustrating.

Sounds like more of a steam problem, I'd go asking on some steam support forums.

I found an easy way to fix the problem, I just tested it for myself because I was having the problem as well. All you have to do is when it starts downloading in the background and you are still stuck on Allocating disk space, just do this: ctrl+alt+dlt then go to task manager and end task on steam bootstrap. When you go back into steam, it should be just regularly downloading like normal.

Thank you that worked. This was frustrating me so much.
