copy paste the steamapps folder to the SSD and reboot Steam.
yes it is steam recognizes the ssd just not the files on the ssd
edit: when trying to make a new library folder in the ssd i get the message
selected drive already has a steam folder steam will manage multiple game installs in a single folder for you
edit no2; i also can not change the library destination in the ssd either if that is what you meant.
weirdly no, my steam is installed on my ssd, i have most of my games on my hdd and a few demanding games on my ssd in the same folder as steam, and today i decided to do a cloned file scan, to hopefuly free up some space, which obviously did not work to my advantage and it deleted all my shortcuts etc at first and some needed files from games, steam and so on . so yeah Both library paths were made Before the incident. and there is still 100s of gBs of game files on the ssd
Easiest way is to do it with steam itself. right click on a game then select properties -> select the tab local files -> move installmentfodler to another drive and select the drive you want to move the game too.
... so the are already on the SSD and no back up on the HDD? have you just copied pasted the entire steamappsfolder or just the common folder or single games? you need to copy paste the manifest data too.
well the manifest file you can copy from a friend who own the game. But the question is, if the game still is on the SSD and I cant see exactly what is wrong there. I have no capabilities to offer you a teamviewer assistance this week.
But can you maybe make a screenshot of you steamapps folder and then the common subfolder on the SSD to clear it up a little.
again thanks for your time its really apreciated :)
thats how should it look like. The appmanifest should be directly in the steamapps folder while there needs to be a single appmanifest data for every game you have installed on the SSD. inside the appmanifest file it is written for which game it is.
