Just curious.

Samsung is by far the best.

However the good companies that using Samsung RAM and offering lifetime warranty:
G.Skill, Kingston, Corsair, Crucial...
G.Skill, Kingston (HyperX, etc), Crucial, Patriot, Corsair, etc

Just avoid TEAM Group and you'll be fine
Those are the four I'd pick as well. S.Skill have been consistently brilliant for me over a decade, as have Corsair. Kingston and Crucial I know by reputation, although I've not tried personally. Largely because I haven't needed to, Corsair and G.Skill have covered my needs perfectly.

I wouldnt put Patriot on that list, they not using Samsung RAM until something really changed recently.

I thought Patriot used Samsung too...?

I'm probably wrong...

The last bit still holds up though: Team RAM is infamous for failing

I looked it up and you are right!
They used Hynix M Chips and switched now to Samsung E-Die for the Viper 4 DDR4-3400MHz
I have a feeling I'm running team ram in my old build, but that was pre really fast ram for my 4790k when the ram didn't make much difference, now it does again, I've gone with Corsair and would stick with them or g.skill for any build that needs good stuff, if it doesn't, then I'll go budget shopping, but have had good results with Kingston.
Went G.Skill with my last build, went Corsair with my current build, will go G.Skill again next time. Given they're effectively the same under the skin, I tend to alternate based on what their heatspreaders look like.

nothing beat the look of G.Skill triden Z RGB :P
Just the Software is messy and luckily Asus Aura offers a way better alternative.

Trident Z in general looks fantastic. Really suits Asus and Aorus boards IMO. Hopefully this'll prod Corsair into making something less utilitarian.

You have to go by the Model#, not the Brand.
As cheaper RAM from say G.Skill might have Hynix chips, the better ones have Samsung chips; such as Trident Z

yeah you're absolutly correct. but the 4 brands mentione in my first comment mainly has the life time warranty I'm a huge fan of even when barely needing it.

Yup, definitely the only 4 brands of RAM I'd ever look at as well.
Mushkin anyone? Weirdly it has kinda dropped off the radar since DDR4 is released.
