What happens when a keyboard runs out of click lifespan
Thinking of getting the apex pro which has a 100 million keypress lifespan and im wondering:
- if the 100 million keypresses is per key or the entire keyboard altogether
- Does the key/keyboard stop functioning after 100 million key presses
- on average how long (months/years) is 100 million keypresses for someone who spends 3+ hours a day using the keyboard (1-2 hours gaming)

It'll last you years. Stop worrying over such a silly thing.

double key inputs, missed key inputs, poor key push force, sticky or wobbley keys

as for lifespan, look up what kind of key switches it uses

It'll last you years, mechanical switches are known to have a long lifespan. If you're that worried about it may I make a recommendation?

Get a hot-swap board. If a switch dies you can just replace it by pulling it out and plugging a new one in. You can also swap out all of your switches for a new switch type if you want to experiment.
Yes, it will still function normally

The lifespan is estimated, not an exact number of clicks. It could fail way before that or even well after.

OP answer this question, how many times do you need to sit down on it a chair before it breaks?

Now apply the same question to your question, then ask yourself did you ask a silly question, and answer will be yes, as there no fixed answer to that question.

The GMMK[www.pcgamingrace.com] may be perfect for you, it has replaceable switches...

Er it stops clicking
It dies in agony.

If a switch dies you can most likely replace it. Depending on PCB, its possible to replace switches, even if it means you have to use a soldering iron.
