CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION Error
So a few weeks ago, my computer suddenly started crashing with the error CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION, with a frequency of 3-5 times per day depending on
"something" i am clearly missing.
Note: According to my loaner, My PC Is about 2 yrs old, a Complete windows reinstall is literally on the front of my mind if i cant find a fix. Running A Driver verifier screwed my PC forcing a system restore, I have NOT Run a memtest.

What i did: (Still Not solved)
-Memory diagnostic test (PASS)
-Disk Cleanup (temp files, junk, registry issues via CCcleaner)
-chkdsk /r and /f and sfc/scannow
-Updating Device drivers (There has been conflicting times where one program suggested change and another hasn't)
-Updated Windows via its Updater
-Performed A Clean Boot (Startup with only microsoft programs)

What i Think:
-According to the fact i never cleaned the interior of My PC Has to be a cause of faulty hardware
-(Excuse my ignorance) Using Event Viewer to View suspected errors, but i have yet to know how to "isolate" those Errors.
-The Combined amount of Anti-virus/repair tools i have installed could (possibly?) be the culprit

It would be great to see a fix in this Problem i have been having, i would highly appreciate it.

CCleaner is known to cause issues with WIndows 10...Uninstall it, you do not even need it. Whenever these issues are brought up to the developer of CCLeaner on the site forums, he bans the user for it and provides little to know customer service beyond "it is your fault".

Anyway, that being said, every time you restart or do a cold boot Windows 10, your registry gets cleaned up autopmatically during startup.

Download the program WhoCrashed and Analyze the crash dump with it
It'll give you a better idea of what exactly caused the blue screen.

CCleaner by itself should not cause such a bluescreen, so i dont think that was the specific cause.
-

If you have more than one Antivirus, you only need one. Multiple AVs can cause problems and performance issues.

How to fix Critical Structure Corruption Error in Windows 10
a critical structure corruption means window detected that one of its files has been modified or the data that one of its files owns in memory has been modified.

So it has something to do with the ntoskrnl execute file?

If I recall, CCleaner now offers basic AV services. It is a lot more reputable than MyCleanPC and DoubleMySpeedPC and all those snakeoil traps...its just that my issue is that there is now no longer support unless you get the paid version of it (it used to be Freeware) So if the OP already has an AV, CCleaner's basic AV might also be a cause of this if they perforemd multiple celanings.

Also, outside of CCleaner, could defragmenting an SSD also cause this issue?

Could that be a symptom of Meltdown?

An SSD cant be defragged, it can be TRIMMED, but most if not all defrag software wont actually defrag an SSD.

OP as i said
download WhoCrashed and analyze the crash dump, itll tell you what caused the bluescreen

^^^^^This

Also, I think Nirsoft makes a BSOD detector as well, but I'm not sure if it's up to date.

Error: CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION
file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that the kernel has detected critical kernel code or data corruption.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. This might be a case of memory corruption. This may be because of a hardware issue such as faulty RAM, overheating (thermal issue) or because of a buggy driver. This problem might also be caused because of overheating (thermal issue).
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time

The free version of CCleaner is still supported and updated. It just doesn't have some of the "advanced" features of the paid versions.
Forgive me, I can't be arsed to look it up, but what "advanced" features are we taking about exactly? My curiousity is genuinely piqued.

Well its either driver related, or RAM related

Also, when it comes to driver software, the only one you need is Driver Booster from www.iobit.com there are maybe 1 or 2 other decent ones, but thats the 1 i use and have used on other PCs to resolve issues.

Before you decide to format give that a try, see what happens.

Also, for the hell of it Remove 1 RAM stick, use the PC as normal and see if it bluescreens, if so, do the same with the other RAM stick (assuming you have 2 or more)

You'll find out if its RAM related that way, a little more annoying to do but more accurate than doing a memtest in a sense.

Naturally, backup any files you want to safe to a different device before you decide to format

Might want to read the thread. There is nothing wrong with CCleaner. Don't use Monitoring mode and some don't trust the registry cleaner (though I use it without issues). It's a nice utility.
Dude, Ccleaner messes with the registry. It is great for cleaning temproary files...but no software should ever be messing with it. You still have yet to tell me the "advanced features" the paid version lets you have.

CCleaner only messes with registry if one choses to use that feature. I use it and it works. I have a long history of working with Windows Registry and know what is safe. What CCleaner does (now anyway), is conservative and safe (but again, I acknowledge that Microsoft has stated that registry cleaners aren't needed with Windows 10).

I linked the page with CCleaner the differences. I trust you can read that page.
"CCleaner only messes with registry if one choses to use that feature"

You know...we got into a hole debate (which was deleted by he way due to certain stalker interference) about me stating that CCleaner messes with your rtegistry...you initially said it does not...but now say it does not mess with the registry if you do not use that feature.

Well no kidding it doesn't mess up the registry if you do not use its registry cleaning feature.....Those links I posted...that is what the complaint was...that it messes up the Wiondows 10 registry.
