Please dont go off topic because I need valuable input from the community before this sale ends and I miss out on a potential steal. Also this PC is regular $1'638.99 CAN and on sale for $1'149.99 CAN is this a good buy?
RX 580 GPU which is roughly equivalent to a GTX 970 or GTX 1060. WIh the prices of GPUs now these are going for $500. That alone is about half the price of the system.
Ryzen 1700x is a very capable CPU that sells for about $310.
cons
only 8GB memory and only a 1 TB HD.
But based on the GPU and CPU I would say its a pretty good deal. Not sure why anyone is saying its not. To actually hand build this system would cost $1400-$1500.
The memory speed is slow which ryzen does not perform well with (so I've read).
I wouldn't buy an rx580 gpu. I would only go with nvidia.
I suspect that a 460 watt psu is low for a 1700/rx580
I can't see the motherboard model mentioned. For me that's a do not buy itself.
As mentioned above it will work. Dell pc's can be expensive, so whether it is a good deal or not needs to be checked.
Can you guys elaborate a little? how is this not a good deal and how is the upgradability limited? Can I just not buy new parts and put them in? Also I asked this again because no body is giving me solid answers on this.
WTF
A RX 580 + Ryzen needs at least 500 Watt, also that PSU could be a cheapo one.
Replace the PSU if you are going to buy that PC.
Thats what I am saying! Everybody seems to say "oh that psu is bad so dont buy" well if that the case I could just upgrade the psu and problem solved right, how does a bad psu make the whole computer a 'Do not buy'.
Everyone on here is making it sound like I need to pump out over $2500 to be able to play games! That cant be true right?
Do people not get that you can upgrade a pre-build or something? So if I got those upgrades would I have a good gaming rig on my hands? or is it still ♥♥♥♥ according to everyone on here?
Yeah your dollar is killing ours right now though, hows been for a while now, Canadians wanting to build a custom PC are getting super screwed unless your freaking rich!
MY point is that if people are looking at the price and there mind is equating this to how good of a deal is this is US dollars that is a lot less dollars than they think it is. I think its a real good deal personally. Hopefully it has space for more memory ( 2 slots on mother board with 2 4 GB rams would not allow for expansion unless you replaced alll the memory).
Is a good PC, just upgrade PSU and you'll be fine.
1920x1080p high settings FXAA 60+ fps.
A $50 good PSU could extend lifespan of PC.
Yes the motherboard has room for up to 32 gb of ram, also people are saying this PC can not be upgraded but even the page on Dell says this PC is easily upgradable along with numerous youtube videos on this PC. Everyone buying this PC put more RAM in to it from what i see.
