27 inch monitor resolution size
It says 1920x1080 on the box , reading around it says 1440p(2560 x 1440) is the best resolution, but when i switch to 1440p resolution the text is smaller and everything looks worse/blurry, so why in the hell would they say 1440p is the best resolution?

If the resolution really is 1440 then Windows can resize the text and icons. Look through the display settings. Set to 125% or whatever looks good.
But I think the monitor is really a 1080P, so stick with that.
Look up the specs online at the manufacturers site to double check.

Because that's the max resolution, I'd guess.
Look ib the nvidia control panel and see what your native resolution is
It probably is a 1080p monitor with a max supported resolution of 1440p. it cant display true 1440p if the physical panel only have 1920x1080 physical pixel

Does anyone here remember CRT monitors where you could basically change the resolution to several different ones ? I don't miss the CRT monitor weight though.

a crt does not have pixels, it has a comb filter to light up zones

on a 27in 1440p is a good res
but if the display is only 1080p, it cannot show a higher res

change windows to its native and disable dsr/vsr

I'm using a AMD cards ( current Radeon Pro W5500 ) , and it only goes to 1080p/1920x1080.
I did enable virtual super resolution thing and i can go to higher resolution, but looks worse above 1920x1080p.

Was just curious, but 1080p is perfectly fine.

you get used to everything being a little smaller after a few weeks

Weeks?
I got used to it in a day, on my 24" 1440p display at 100% scaling.
And I use 80% scaling in browsers.

op has a 1080p display and was using vsr to emulate it as a 1440p

vsr/dsr make everything blurry since its not using the displays native res
its rendering a higher res and scaling it down to the displays res
