Does replacing hard drive mean buying new windows 10?
If I replaced my hard drive would that mean I have to rebuy/install windows 10?

I was told to get a 3.5 inch hard drive, this one ::https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0088PUEPK/ref=s9_top_hm_awbw_b1Muqux_g147_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=mobile-hybrid-4&pf_rd_r=C8CGQDNDJBM70MZJJFX5&pf_rd_t=30901&pf_rd_p=7b9f6866-663d-5ce0-8268-82e34a8ab00c&pf_rd_i=1254762011

I just took out my other hard drive from my PC and measured it and I got about 5 1/2 inch height and 4 inch length. So I'm guessing a 3.5 inch won't fit? I was told to get that one can someone please help. Need a hard drive asap.

Yeah thats a good one to get, especially at that price.

What is the HDD that you have? its possible you may need an adapter.
I have a SATA seagate 1TB I believe. My concern though was that :: I measured my current hard drive and it looks to be 5 1/2 inch height and 4 inches length. And the hard drive I linked and am about to get says 3.5 inch, so doesn't that mean it won't fit?
Exactly how old is your PC?
I believe about 1 year ago. Can you answer my question cause I have no clue of that hard drive will fit?
mmmm..
If its the one currently in your PC post a CPU-Z validation link

http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
Desktop = then basically any 3.5 or 2.5 inch drive will fit; that's what the slots/trays are setup for.
Idk I already did speccy yesterday and it didn't tell me the size of my CPU
Speccy and CPU-Z offer different specific information
Just run CPU-Z > Validate > Submit... why is that so hard?
Browser loads up, copy & paste that unique web URL address in here.
Takes a minute of your time, then we can see your system specs (excluding Power Supply)

I'll try it tomorrow cuz it's really hard to start up my PC with this failed hard drive, takes a sht ton of time to start up, log in and download so I'll try but might not have it till tomorrow. Does CPU-Z tell you the size of your hard drive?
CPU-Z or SPECCY will reveal the Drive Model; from that we can tell what exactly it is fully.

But yea IDK why you need these two threads asking about a drive; you could've ordered (or purchased locally) a 3.5inch drive and be done with it.

Did you go another working system and download / make your USB Win10 Flash Drive yet?
Yeah downloaded windows 10 into my flash drive, took bout a couple of hours and said complete. Is there a way to check if windows 10 is in my flash drive just in case? And I wanna know the different between WD black and blue

Since I have a micro center nearby and can return if there are any issues, how is that one?
I checked my speccy and my hard drive says :: 931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1ER162 (SATA)
