Xbox 360 Wired RockCandy Controller Not Working ( Windows 10 )
Hello. For some reason my rock candy controller is not working. When plugged in, the middle flashes green and stays lit, showing it's player 1. However, when starting a game ( Binding of Isaac) none of the buttons would work. This confuses me because I can use my Afterglow Xbox 360 controller just fine before and after I unplug the Rock Candy Controller. Does anybody know why the Rock Candy controller isn't working? I have tried deleting the drivers and re plugging it in but still nothing :(

Manually change the Driver for it in Device Manager.
From "Xbox 360 Controller" to "Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller"

And when dealing with Controllers + Games; only connect one controller at a time. Unless the game you intend to play allows multiples.

You can press Winkey R
JOY.CPL
to verify the controller and test it.

The original Binding of Isaac doesn't have controller support because it's a flash game, and flash doesn't have inbuilt gamepad support. If you go into the options menu and click on controls it pretty unhelpfully states "Controller? Use Joy2Key? Google it." But really, just use Steam Input if you want to play that.

I think Rebirth/Afterbirth has native controller support though.

Try it on a game with known controller support. I recommend one of these mostly 'cause they are free:

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
