Device driver stuck in thread !
Okay i have gotten alot of flak over this... but i traded my xbox one 1tb , 29 games, a gaems vanguard case for a custom gaming pc. Needless to say i was half expecting it to be on fire when i got it and well i was kind of right.... I booted it up, installed steam, installed a game, and the crashes commenced! It kept sayin device driver stuck in thread, so i have uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled the drivers, wiped the computer clean and reinstalled everything including drivers again, and ran a benchmark, crashed again, same thing. So if anyone has a better idea than buying a new graphics card because I have zero moneys lol I'm open to suggestions. If its a bad GPU then obviously I have no choice but to buy the new gpu. Thanks.

yeah i did that and its still the same, i just jumped into planetside2 and i crashed, same thing, thread stuck in device driver. seriously frustrating.

Considering you have no clue what this PC has been through, I'd recommend a complete reinstallation of the OS. Not a reset.
its very frustrating because I'm waiting to go back to work and my funds are completely dry. So I cant afford to buy anything right and prolly cant until tax season. He didn't sent a key for windows 10 with this. So I'm assuming ill have to buy windows 10 if I did that?

Considering the specs, the previous owner most likely did the upgrade. Check your activation status. Settings > Update and Security > Activation
It will most likely say digital activation or similar.

Simply download the Windows 10 media creation tool, create a bootable media, then boot to it. I'd recommend a USB stick, plugged into a motherboard USB port rather than a case USB port.
"thread stuck in device drivers"

That's the entire error message you're getting from windows?!?

Sounds like you have a copy that was activated via the key management service. Since this computer is no longer connected to the same network, it will no longer be active soon. It needs to communicate with the KMS host, or it will eventually get deactivated.

Considering that this is more of something that businesses use, it is most likely a cracked copy. Which could explain the issues, too.

If this is a computer from someone you do not know... It would have been the very first thing to do, before ever connecting it to broadband or my local network.
my first gaming pc.. so completely new to it. It is from someone i dont know. I feel like it was giving him all these problems and he screwed me over on the computer for my xbox. So... ill have to hold out til i get my taxes...... sucks but oh well. And just rebuild it. new mother board, gpu, OS.
First things first

when you say crash
do you mean the games crash to desktop

Or you get a Bluescreen crash?
If its a Bluescreen, the error it gives is device driver stuck?

If thats the crash
Download the program WhoCrashed http://www.resplendence.com/download/whocrashedSetup.exe
Analyze the crash dump files and it will give you a better idea as to what exactly caused the bluescreens

report back with the results.

Google query: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER
both of those are showing.
Just reinstall the OS. No biggie. Windows 10 allows for no key usage, like a trial that never ends. If you want it registered, you can get a key for pretty cheap.
The 1st has to do with DirectX
The second has to do with your AMD GPU

What to do first is to download DDU
Uninstall the AMD drivers, Download the latest so you dont have to do it afterwords

Use DDU and reboot to Safe Mode via the drop down list and Clean the drivers via Clean and Reboot after it boots to safe mode, DDU will open autoamtically. disable the Windows automatic driver install if the dialog box shows up.

After its rebooted, install the drivers.

Make sure you download the Win10 64bit AMD drivers.

This is where to begin
-

Did the PC purchase come with a DVD or USB drive for Win10?
If not, you can get the Win10 Download Tool from Microsoft, use the program SPECCY to get your Win10 key if the seller didnt give it to you.

Then install Win10 onto a 4GB or larger USB thumb drive, do a Clean install of Windows and use the key to Activate Windows, so be sure to save the key somewhere you can easily copy it.

Formatting it may be the best option if you dont know the person that sold you the PC, to make sure the PC isnt bugged or have any spy software on it.

Before you do all this, goto System info and MAKE SURE Windows 10 is Activated
