Steam Link Has Wrong IP

Hey all,

I have recently bought a Steam Link and it cannot find my host computer
If i check the IP it gives a 168.xxx.x.x
So it doesn't give the normal DHCP IP
does anyone know how to solve this?

Open up CMD and type in "ipconfig /all" without the ".

Depending on what you are using there is a chapter named "Ethernet-Adapter" or "Wireless-Adapter" or anything similar.

There you can see a IPv4-Adress. It should look like this: 192.168.X.X or 10.X.X.X
Then go to the Steamlink and use the same Network as your PC, so give it the IP 192.168.0.150 or 10.0.0.150 or something like that.

Its on a ethernet cable, trough a box wich is connected to my router, and my pc is also connected to my router

There is the Problem.

Connect the link directly to the Router. No separate box whatsoever.

Well we have found the problem
our wifi somehow connected to itselves
so now he fully works
