Gtx 680 Vs. Gtx 1060
So I have a 680 2gb ram and was looking to upgrade to 1060 6gb ram, would there be a noticeable boost in performance while gaming? Or is it not worth it.

Also would my i7 3820 @ 4,4Ghz bottleneck?

CPU still fine, and the 1060 would be a major upgrade.

Thanks!

Yes, there will be. The processor is fine. The GPU will up your performance x 2. The 1060 is about equal to a 980 and that is x 2 the 680. You will be able to run every game today that I know of mostly on ultra maxed out mode. Crank it up!

2x is exaggerated in my opinion, but either way, your CPU won't bottleneck.

Want to see raw differences? Look for 1060/6 benchmarks, they should often show cards like the 770, 960, 1050 ti - your current performance tier.

Look it up on the Nvidia site. I'm not that wrong. I've owned these cards and do my research.

Ok, I've looked it up, almost 70% Boost with 1060, which is pretty close to x2, seems good enough for a "cheap" upgrade, besides I've had 680 for 4 years already it was time to upgrade :D

Yup, though it depends a lot on engine / DX generation & resolution. Some titles you may see +50%, others 70% or more.
And hey, less power consumption and noise, don't forget about that :P
