FX 6300 Real Power Consumption
Hey fellow gamers

I know that the TDP of the above mentioned CPU is 95W but does anyone of you guys happen to know how much power the not OC'ed CPU exactly uses?

Thanks in advance!

Use cpu-z to find that out

AFAIK it will only show the TDP

I've got a x3 450 95w part that uses between 95w-101w, I don't see the 6300 using much more than that.

Ps, for what it's worth cpu-z says 123.9 watts on x4 965BE pumping 1.419v to it for a small overclock.

Pss, HWMonitor says under Powers Package 117.6 watts whatever that's worth with the same x4 965BE 125w tdp cpu. Running P95 changes nothing.

You may be right. I was confusing voltage with wattage.

Thanks for all the info!

FX6300 is at the bottom of the page ^.

its a little less than 95w
http://www.anandtech.com/show/6396/the-vishera-review-amd-fx8350-fx8320-fx6300-and-fx4300-tested/6
total system consumption 145w under cpu load.. the 95w vishera uses less wattage than zambezi. the fx-4300 95w uses the least the fx 83XX/e 95w uses the most. in terms of 95w cpus

your consumption will depend on the motherboard and the cpu itself good cpus with good binning will run stock on much lower vcore which reduces power consumption. good mobos have better vrm phasing/voltage control and allow more stable voltages at less vcore

Thanks! I found out I can measure its real time consumption in my ASUS EPU suite which seems to be pretty accurate plus I'm going to buy a kill-a-watt or so device anyway because I want to see what my entire system draws, thanks people!
