Try a different version of the software if that doesn't work just ignore it. Aslong as your CPU and GPU temps are accurate and safe it wouldn't really matter it everything else was wrong.

Are those 118 degrees...Fahrenheit, maybe?

As my physic teacher use to ask: 118 cows? 118 flowers?

Without units any measure is wortless.

it would be great if it was 118 Kalvin

General advise for overheating. If you are air cooling check your vents and fans for dust. Check your cables and make sure they are positioned to allow for adequate airflow.

Its nothing to worry about
likely a faulty sensor, everyone gets them.

For some reason, HW Monitor will occasionally show incorrect temperatures. Especially on the motherboard itself. It's nothing to worry about, your PC isn't actually overheating - it's just an issue with the data.

I have exactly the same problem. My Temp 4 sensor randomly flicks between 0 and 128 celsius. Which is obviously false - air cooled PCs can't reach freezing temperatures in gaming normal conditions.

If the temp reading is in Celsius it's way too hot. Install more case fans.

No then it's just a faulty sensor is all.

Try other apps too; such as OpenHardwareMonitor, MSI Afterburner, etc.

OP's from singapore so i'm going to assume 118C
Which as have been said, its merely a faulty reading.

If it were truly 118C the motherboard wouldnt be working anymore

Speccy is pretty accurate on temperature estimates.
