Anyone knows if steam link is going to be released on LG TVs it would be amazing if it's going to be released there.

If you want to game on your TV buy a real Stream link. On sale they cost $5 or something.

The Steam Link App will most likely not be made available on your smart TV.

Or better yet, just use an htpc connected to your TV and use steam in home streaming from your main pc tonite, wayyyy better option than steam link. Though admitedly more expensive if you don't have a spare pc ...

My Steam Link has been absolutely flawless, so this idea isn't really worth it imo.

Mine can handle Portal 2 co-op at 60fps with no stuttering or streaming issues on Wifi. That's an achievement.

OP, I'd just buy a physical Steam Link on sale and use that. I hear the Smart app is really bad in comparison to the actual device

That's odd, I've got one still boxed from months ago sitting Infront of me ...

The problem with steam link is you are limited to 1080p, and using wireless will never be as good as running actual cables, though, as I said, it is cheaper, by alot, I think unpaid 35p for my steam link lol.

Steam link app, I missed a word
steam link works good for me on ethernet

If you only want 1080p, it does, but for me I'd like a higher Res on my 4k TV.
i dont have 4k so cant say

Yeah I got my steam link when I only had a 1080p 50 inch TV, just never got round to setting it up before I bought a 65inch 4k TV, at which point, the 1080p option became less appealing, especially when I already had a htpc.
As I said though, if you have no htpc, it's a REALLY good and cheap option.

Steam Link Android App will support 4K 60fps.

That's really cool, especially for a software solution.

Just re-read the app page, idont this k streaming 4k will be an option for most TV's based on the wording, still it's promising but I think I'll stick to my current setup over using an app on my TV.
