Did I Ruin My Monitor With Bleach?

First time posting, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.

I was doing some cleaning, and like a genius, I tried to clean my monitor with some spray bleach. I accidentally over sprayed and some dripped down into the crack between the front plate and the screen.

The screen is dark as though it's not getting any input (which could be user error), and the power button is slowly regaining functionality. The power button isn't exactly mechanical, you just sorta wipe your finger across the icon and that "presses" the button.
The monitor is a Samsung s23a350h LED monitor.
Did I permanently screw up my monitor or will this be okay after drying out for a while?

Even if it did dry and start up, the residue might cause problems further down the line further degrading the parts it touched. You kinda don't have any way of migitating that as you can't exactly open it up.

Why are you cleaning it with bleach in the first place?

Odds may cause problems at later point due to how may cause corrosion, and degradation, bleach is not meant to be used on certain type of materials.

Definite maybe. If it starts working and has no issues, then you're fine. If not, then yes.

Turn your monitor off, unplug it, and wait until you're sure it's dry.

Windex is probably not a good choice either, unless things have changed during my 17 year coma. Wasn't recommended for CRTs with glass screens. LCDs aren't glass.

Yep. Better get a replacement even if it starts up. Also, this is why you use wipes intended for screen cleaning to clean the screen, not spray on and wipe. Bleach would have degraded the screen even if it didn't ♥♥♥♥ in.

Okay. Looks like I'm far from an expert. Note to future self: get specific wipes for screen cleaning.

Just use plain water. If you need to use cleaning solution, then use something like soapy dishwater put microfiber cloth into that then wring it out ensure its not soaking, or dripping, then wipe monitor, then rinse out the microfiber cloth with plain water, then wring it ensure its not soaking, or dripping, and wipe monitor again, and let it dry.

You could follow the above as well, would be cheaper in the long run but is riskier if you mess up. Trapped suds is a mess.

Windex for your glass windows.
Bleach used for cleaning surfaces like washroom, floors, and can be used for laundry as additive.

Spraying window cleaner onto a paper towel and wiping over the screen has always done the trick for me. You shouldnt spray directly onto the screen

Ahhh, no, don't do that, it ♥♥♥♥♥ the coating on the monitor. Makes it peel.

I use wet wipes, and dry with paper towel, it's effective.
Or the odd time if I need to properly clean, I use Isopropyl on a paper towel.
