Free or paid is fine.

Personally, I use PiHole on my Raspberry Pi and I configured my router DHCP to use Raspberry as DNS server.
So it basically blocks ads on all devices that are connected to my network.

For Windows you can use any adblock extension (for Chrome I use Fair Adblocker. I also used uBlock Origin and it's good too)

On my Android I add list of domains I want to block to the hosts file that's located in /system/etc/hosts
And I use Xposed module Adblock Reborn
I don't know any apps for iOS. But the hosts file thing should work if you can edit it.

Here's my hosts file

My advice (if chrome user) is to use Pop Up blocker For Chrome extension in addition to your adblocker of choice.

uBlock Origin for PC, and definitely a PiHole - I still need to get one myself but I keep forgetting.

Paid: AdGuard (Windows & iDevice).
Free: AdGuard browser extension or Ghostery browser extension Windows only.

DNS66 works okay for android if you can't find a compatible TWRP loader or Xposed installer.

No such paid apps on any OS makes them worth it. Plenty of free apps that do what all paid apps do, for free.

If you're paying for software outside of things like professional needs tools and games, you really need to learn more about what all is out there. Pretty much all software is all free.

Does anyone else find AdGuard on windows slows down upload speed a lot when you have fiber 1 gbps download and upload speed?

Ublock Origin ftw...
Everything else is fairly known to be crap and/or way behind and/or very limited in what all you can do with it.

Thanks but do you have to set it up or is it easy?

Sorry I meant UBLOCK ORIGIN
I apologize as my phone auto corrected and I missed it.

But yea great extension add on for browser such as Firefox or Chrome.

Not hard to setup. But it is a bit more in depth then many others.

Plenty of online guides and YT videos for it as well if you are unsure what to do or how to get started once you've installed it.
