Is NVIDIA MX good for 3D modelling and animation?
Hi, my laptop which is ASUS ROG STRIX GL553VD died after 3 years of being used. It happened when the laptop suddenly system freeze and I had to force shut down the laptop. But when I tried to turn it on, it won't turn on anymore. First the light is flashing but when is going to boot, it turned off. I brought the laptop to the technisian and it says that the chipset is broken possibly due to heat. So there is now way to fix it other than replace the motherboard which cost Rp 13,000,000. It almost the same price as buying a new laptop. So I'm currently searching for a new laptop. At least the laptop that can be used for editing videos, design, and 3D modelling. Well I found some laptops that seems budget but they're not color accurate enough. So here is my question, is the MX nvidia graphics card is good enough for 3D modelling such as 3ds max, maya, blender, marmoset, etc?

Assuming this is what you're talking about, it's a bit of a step down from the 1050 you were using. It should still be sufficient to utilize those applications. Whether or not you will be happy with the performance you should research for yourself.

Might as well get something with at least a 8th gen i7 (non U model) cpu and gtx 1660 or newer gpu

Hi, thanks for all of your responds. I finally decided to chose the GTX 1650, now I'm comparing these laptops and currently deciding which one I should buy, the "lenovo legion Y540 and lenovo ideapad gaming 3i". The only difference of the specs of these laptops are the different CPU's. The lenovo Y540 has intel core i7 9750 and ideapad 3i has intel core i7 10750. I personally going to chose y540 because of better color gamut than 3 since I'm into design, video editing, etc. Now here is my question. Are these processor performance differs that much? Sorry if its a different topic.
