No one knows. GPU like CPU are similar in the fact of silicon lottery. Some can run high speeds and lower voltage than some need to run at stock speeds. Plus you're cooling for CPU or GPU also has an affect on how much of an overclock you can manage without hitting a temperature wall.

check on overclock.net
they often have a database of similar gpus/models/asic and their oc results

Use MSI Afterburner and enable all the Unlock options in Settings. Under Skin, change to a skin that shows you Power Limit and Temp Limit. Raise the Power Limit to the max allowed % and go from there.

And slowly increase things, if you crank it up OP instead of slowly increasing and testing, you could risk damaging the unit, and that's a great unit to not screw up

You can't hurt a modern gpu unless you raise voltage.

For once I have to disagree with you on that, seen plenty of people crank up the core clock past any reasonable level and it kills the GPU usually causing artifacting or blackscreens requiring an rma. Though those ones are usually the higher end units that are more capable than their standard counterparts.

When I had mine it did +135ish on air and about +175 on water memory I never really pushed as far as I could but I think it was around +600 start at 100mhz 100% power and max vtage and go up in increments till you start crashing games.

I artifacted and totally crashed my PC ocing that thing atleast 100 times not sure how you could break it doing that Simply cut it off and back on and lower the core back down

I found cpu overclocking a lot easier and usually end up getting more out of my system by doing that. gpu overclocking on the other hand I've only touched on a little when i had my gtx 1660, it was never worth it. I guess I'll just leave my 1080 alone. Thx anyways guys.

That can only happen if you run it a long time that way and/or allow the temp to go beyond 85*C

In MSI Afterburner it's always safe to use the max power boost. As the design of gtx 10 series has a solid brick wall for all the clocks. Also what many over look is you have a Chain icon between Power and Temp. Unlock this chain so they are not linked, allowing you to keep temp limit at around 85*C even if you raise the power limit. Leave the voltage and clocks alone. The power boost will do all the OC in a dynamic fashion. However ensure your overall cooling and fan curve is good so the gpu can remain as cooled as possible at all times. It will boost as high as possible depending on actual gpu silicon and your overall thermals. Cooling it is kept, the higher it can possibly Auto OC it.

If you see any artifacts, turn it down for a lesser OC to ensure you don't get driver crashes or visual artifacts.
