Nacon Ps4 controller recognized as Xbox, solution ?

hello all,
i bought a wired Nacon PS4 compact controller and connected it to my PC which instantly read it as an XBOX and applied the XBOX controller driver, steam on the other hand reads it as PS3 controller .
the controller works perfectly but all the games have an XBOX interface, any tips on how to change it tp PS interface ?
btw i dont have DS4windows and never installed it, and on steam i tried to chose PS configuration on and off but both didn't work.

Even with an official DS4 or DS3 controller using Steam, DS4Windows, SCP,Toolkit or anything the vast majority of times you'll get Xbox style prompts. So either get used to ABXY prompts and learning what they mean on a playstation style controller or buy a controller with ABXY buttons. Their are a few games that show PS style prompts but thats rare.

Really doesn't take that long getting used to. After a while you won't even think about them you'll just press the correct buttons instinctively

i thought some people said they got the PS interface for the same games , for example Mortal Kombat 11

Many games that have different button icons will let you select the icons in the menu regardless of the controller used.

Some yes, But the majority do not hence why I said

most windows games show xbox prompts, very few have options to show psx prompts
steam will recoginze it as a psx controller and can remap it as xbox

steam -> settings -> controller -> [bpm/desktop/chord config]
select the controller, it will show it as psx, xbox, wii/switch ect..
