RGB case setup help
Hi, I have a Asus Z390-A Prime Motherboard and I'm planning on getting the Lian Li O11D Dynamic XL case. On the front panel it has lighting and it says "Make sure to connect the 3-pin header of the controller to the 3-pin header of the motherboard, do not connect it to the 4-pin header or unrecoverable damage will occur". I don't see the 3 pin one on my board. My question is, is that just so i can sync it with the lights on my motherboard with that aura software? Or does that power it too?

**FROM THE ASUS WEBSITE**

The Aura RGB-strip header supports 5050 RGB LED strips with a max power rating of 3A (12V). For maximum brightness, strip length should not exceed 3m.
** RGB LED Extension cables are included. LED Strips and Aura-compatible devices are sold separately.

I'd heed what the manufacture says and not plug it in to the 4 pin header.

I'd say it'll power it. As the instructions say

Don't do it. Clearly the board doesn't have the compatible connections. Best bet is to contact Asus and/or Lian Li to find out if it'll be safe if you used some form of converter or adapter. I suspect a simple 3-pin to 4-pin won't be any safer so check with them first. Otherwise you'll need a RGB controller that is compatible with your motherboard.
