Don't delete anything you break stuff, macrium reflect is usefull to make backup of boot drive and then use usb stick to boot and restore that backed up clone on either same drive or maybe you upgraded to ssd and wanna restore it to an ssd, i use something similar but its linux based instead clonezilla more for advanced user, i boot that over the network

All those partitions where you have C: installed are auto selected by Macrium if you choose the backup option: "Create an image of the partition(s) required to backup and restore Windows".

All are REQUIRED to successfully restore Windows. Do NOT delete any.

Those partitions are created by Windows during setup and except for C: are not assigned a drive letter as they are hidden within Windows so you do not delete in error.

The RED partition indicates it is nearly full but is not an issue.

its 500mb, not much to worry about

if its a new os install, i remove all the extra partitions and put the os and boot all on the same partition

the main thing is the missing 2.3tb on the 2nd hdd
expand its G partition to fill the entire drive

The C: partition is where Windows is installed.

The other partitions are created by Windows when you fresh install.

All are REQUIRED to successfully restore Windows. Do NOT delete any.

Macrium auto selects them when choosing: "Create an image of the partition(s) required to backup and restore Windows". see link. https://ibb.co/FJKjmKs

if i reinstall the same back up app

that would also work right?

i can than find the backup and delete it

that would work

ms is f-ing stupid sometimes
on a spinning disk, the first partiton will be closest to the outer rim which has the fastest responce and read/write speeds (creating a boot partition was fine then)
but on a ssd it makes 0 difference where the data is stored on the chips, they all have the exact same read/write speeds and responce times (but now it just wastes space)

The red is cos that drive is full its probably the boot partition that you cant acces in windows cos contains boot files to boot the drive, no need to do anything its fine
If you want to restore it someday when your windows does not boot you can make an usb stick within macrium reflect if you boot that you could restore any previous made backups, usefull for when companies push out broken updates that break rgb software beyond repair for example, then you can restore that backup of when it was working after they paused the broken update, asus did something recently, its not fun to spend 6 hours reconfiguring windows after clean install this is why i personally back up, or perhaps you experimented with windows and broke something beyond repair, then you have the option to back track and fix the problem, or if not possible restore a backup from a time you had no issues.

You can backup also from usb boot yes generally better cos if done from windows files can change while backing up may cause some odd behaviour after restoring, but i would only recommend restoring a backup if you have problems you cant fix as last resort, its not a bad idea to have a backup to keep configuration working fine or instead of a clean install, as long that backup is fresh or at same level as fresh without problems etc.

Ja i agree with u

do u know its even faster and cleaner to do it that way

not one time it failed me

but some times we forget like i just did do backups while installing a new game

and i find that to be wrong

many thanks
