USB device not recognised error.
I bought a new laptop last week and im using it to restore my old iphone 6 that im locked out of. When i plug my iphone into the usb port in the laptop i get the error saying "USB device is not recognised." Also in device manager in the universal serial bus section it says "Unknown USB device (Device Descriptor Request Failed." Ive attempted this with both my locked iphone 6 and unlocked iphone 11 and i get the same error with both...

Tried other USB ports? Do other devices work?
Tried a different cable?

Yep. Tried different ports, devices and a different cable. Same error everytime...

Well, then contact Apple for support with the iphones when they are the only constant with the issue.

You're not using a data sync cable.
Once connected, get driver from Windows Updates or via IOBIT Driver Booster
