Setting up custom refresh rate in games
Hello.

There are some games that don't support my screen's native refresh rate, in this instance 144Hz.

So a game will go up to 120 or 130 max for instance.

In this case, sometimes it's possible to adjust custom wise though tweaking of an .INI file a property to change a games maximal refresh rate for instance to 144Hz.

Now my question is this, in case that I happen to change this to my monitors default refresh rate for instance one of 144Hz, what do I write or put in the custom .INI file?

Should the value be exactly 144Hz, a little bit over it so like 145Hz or a bit under it, so for instance 143Hz?

Some people state that it should be a bit higher but I don't understand why this is and could someone explain this to me please?

Games might not list 144hz if the game is in Windowed Mode.

First set the OS Desktop to 144hz

Then launch game and set game to Borderless. Now it's always running at the same refresh rate as your Desktop.
